The actual construction of our new location has finally started. The construction crew built dirt elevation and will pour the buildings’ footer this week.
Our team was looking at the elevator pit and noticed the small square hole in the floor (circled in yellow). The function of the small square hole is to remove water via a sump pump. If the elevator shaft sprinkler system goes off or there is flooding, the water has to go somewhere. Once you know its function, it seems obvious. It is a reminder of how nice having information at your fingertips is for even the smallest pieces of curiosity.
